One of the greatest advantages of homeschooling is YOU, the parent, set the schedule. While this ability to actually establish the hours your children will learn brings big responsibility, it also allows the parent to incorporate many learning opportunities into the school schedule that most children do not receive.

Our family has found that the children learn the same amount of material they did in public school in a shorter time period. I think this is true of most

Our Monday, Wednesday & Friday schedule is basically the same and the Tuesday & Thursday schedule includes other subjects, such as Science, History, Music or Health. We also have Physical Education with many fun outings such as a trip to the YMCA to swim, golf, biking, etc. Plenty of attention is given other areas such as Cooking Class, Auto Mechanics and even Political Science. Our girl and our boys all learn together, with materials at the appropriate age level for each, but many of the subjects, such as cooking, can be taught to all three of our children in a group.
